VETERAN FORWARD BECOMES FOURTH ICEMAN TO COMMIT TO CORNELL UNIVERSITY

INDIANAPOLIS--The Indiana Ice announced today that forward Woody Hudson has committed to playing college hockey at Cornell University for the fall of 2013.  Cornell is an NCAA Division I member of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).

Hudson becomes the fourth Iceman to commit to play with the “Big Red” and the second from the 2011-2012 roster as Christian Hilbrich (10-12) chose Cornell in January.  Former Indy forward and Boston Bruins draft pick Brian Ferlin (09-11) spent the 2011-2012 season with the “Big Red,” logging 21 (8G, 13A) points in 26 games during his freshman season.

In his first USHL season, Hudson was a powerful presence on the ice as he logged 18 points (11G, 7A) while finishing second on the team with 117 penalty minutes.  His leadership skills were also showcased as he was named one of the team’s assistant captains midway through the season.

The Indiana Ice is now taking deposits for 2012-2013 season ticket packages.  Call the Indiana Ice Office at 317-925-4423 for more information.

The Indiana Ice is a member of the United States Hockey League, America’s Only Tier One League.
