ICE LOOK TO HEAT UP PAN AM PLAZA THIS WEEKEND

TEAM OPENS PRESEASON CAMPAIGN WITH GAMES THIS THURSDAY, SATURDAY

INDIANAPOLIS—Hockey returns to Indianapolis this weekend as the Indiana Ice host the Chicago Steel on Thursday and the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday from Pan Am Plaza in downtown Indianapolis.  The puck is set to drop for both games at 7:05 pm.

Chicago and Muskegon also do battle on Friday from Pan Am Plaza at 7:05 pm.  Admission to all three games is free of charge.

Ottawa Senators prospect Robbie Baillargeon returns to the Ice for a second season after finishing the 2011-2012 campaign with 48 points (14G, 34A) in 54 contests.  Other returning veterans include forwards Woody Hudson, Tyler Pham and Drew Smolcynski and defensemen Matt Krug, Joe Fiala and Peter Hand.  Second-year goaltender Dalton Izyk also returns to tend the pipes for the Ice.

After this weekend’s preseason tilts, the Ice will head to Sioux City, IA next weekend for the annual USHL Fall Classic, before opening up the regular season Friday (9/28) in Bensenville, IL against the Chicago Steel.

Indy opens up their 2012-2013 home campaign on Saturday, September 29 against the Omaha Lancers from Pan Am Plaza.  General Admission tickets for Pan Am Plaza are $10 and seating space is limited.

Opening night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse presented by BMO Harris Bank will take place on Friday, November 9 against the Green Bay Gamblers at 7:05 pm.  Tickets for all Bankers Life Fieldhouse games go on sale soon.

Single-game tickets start at $11 for Bankers Life Fieldhouse games and general admission tickets for Pan Am Plaza games are $10. There is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over.  Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 1-800-745-3000, online at ticketmaster.com or by visiting select Wal-Mart and Simon Mall locations and the Bankers Life Fieldhouse box office.
