Associate Head Coach
Adam Krug will begin his second season with the Indiana Ice and his first as the associate head coach.
Krug joins the Indiana Ice coaching staff after a four-year professional hockey career across the United States and in Europe. He started his professional career with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones, a minor league affiliate of the Nashville Predators, before heading across the pond for a one-year stint with the Nijmegen Devils (Netherlands). While on the Devils' roster, Krug led the team in points (68) and assists (43).
After returning from Europe, Krug spent time with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye, a minor league affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.
Prior to his professional career, Krug played for Wayne State University and spent two years with NCAA Div. III powerhouse Adrian College. He finished his two-year career at Adrian in the top-ten for the the Bulldogs in all-time points (129), goals (52) and power play goals (20).
Originally from Livonia, MI, Adam is one of several members of his immediate family to have an impact on Indiana Ice hockey. His brother, Torey, was a member of the 2009 Clark Cup Championship team before moving on to Michigan State University, where he served as the team captain during his sophomore and junior year. In April 2011, Torey signed an entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins.
Krug now resides in Indianapolis with his wife and is an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
