No stranger to Indianapolis hockey, Flinchem began his career in Indianapolis as a volunteer assistant with the IHL’s Indianapolis Ice in 1995. He then moved on to a position with the ECHL’s Jacksonville Lizard Kings, but in 1999 would return to be the Head Equipment Manager of the CHL’s Indianapolis Ice.
The veteran Flinchem has been noticed among his USHL peers, as he has been the Equipment Manager for Team USA in the World Junior A Challenge for the past five years in which they won three gold and two bronze medals.
Raised in Indianapolis, Flinchem attended Washington High School and played youth hockey at Pepsi Coliseum. Flinchem currently lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Susan, and three sons, Jacob, Luke and Zachary.
His oldest sons, Jacob and Luke, return as Ice stick boys.
