Strength and Conditioning Coach
In the 2011-12 season, Coach Novitsky begins her second season with the Indiana Ice through the “Official Sports Performance Provider to the Indiana Ice”, St. Vincent Sports Performance (SVSP). Emily designs and implements all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for the Ice. Novitsky joined the SVSP team having spent the last few years in the sports performance industry in the Pittsburgh, PA area working with youth and collegiate hockey players. She holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential by the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and completed her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University. Emily also completed her Master's Degree with specialization in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of hockey, Novitsky has a passion for many sports, softball, volleyball, and basketball. In addition to the Ice, Emily also serves as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Indiana Fever (WNBA) through SVSP, and authors articles regarding injury prevention, performance training, and youth sports training.
